Artwork of a Molehill from Banjo-Kazooie.

Molehills are a recurring object in the Banjo-Kazooie series.

Location and uses[edit]

Molehills are piles of dirt used mostly by Bottles in the Banjo-Kazooie series.

Banjo-Kazooie[edit]

In Banjo-Kazooie, Bottles can be found inside his molehills in various worlds, teaching Banjo and Kazooie a new move when they find one. They appear in the first eight worlds, Spiral Mountain, Gruntilda's Lair, Mumbo's Mountain, Treasure Trove Cove, Clanker's Cavern, Bubblegloop Swamp, Freezeezy Peak and Gobi's Valley.

Grunty's Revenge[edit]

In Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, molehills are used by Bozzeye and function mostly the same way they did in the first game, with the only difference now being that the mole charges the duo Musical Notes for each new move instead of teaching them for free. They are present in every world of the game, including Spiral Mountain.

Banjo-Tooie[edit]

In Banjo-Tooie, molehills appear in Spiral Mountain. Here, Bottles' spirit reminds Banjo and Kazooie on how to perform an ability that they learned in the last game. Throughout the rest of the adventure, however, they are replaced by Jamjars' hatches.

Banjo-Pilot[edit]

In Banjo-Pilot, half of Bottles' body is inside a molehill whenever he talks to the pilot in the Bottles GP cutscenes.

Nuts & Bolts[edit]

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, a molehill appears atop Bottles' Tourist Information Kiosk in Showdown Town.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Bottles sometimes appears standing atop a molehill in the background of the Spiral Mountain stage, waving at the fighters.
