Click Clock Wood
Bigbutts are blue bull enemies from Banjo-Kazooie that appears in Mumbo's Mountain and in Click Clock Wood plus its hub from Gruntilda's Lair. One is also featured in the game's opening sequence, along with some smaller, tan variants. They attack Banjo and Kazooie by charging at them, but will first telegraph their attack by aggressively snorting and pawing at the ground. While charging, a Bigbutt can curve his path a slight amount. If one misses, he will quickly stop himself by sliding across the floor.
Bigbutts are very tough, being unable to be defeated, only stunned. A Bigbutt can be stunned by firing Blue Eggs at him, using the Beak Buster, or using the Rat-a-tat Rap ability on him twice. While stunned, he will sit on the ground for a few seconds unconscious, but will get up shortly thereafter. If Banjo tries to approach a Bigbutt while he is knocked out, Banjo will simply bounce off him and will not be injured.
- In the E3 1997 demo of Banjo-Kazooie, upon start-up, the Rareware logo appears on screen and suddenly flees from a group of Bigbutts, including a smaller, pink variant.
