The Flight ability being used in Treasure Trove Cove.

Flight is an ability used by Kazooie throughout the Banjo-Kazooie series. It allows her and Banjo to fly and reach high-up places by using a Flight Pad and Red Feathers.

History

Banjo-Kazooie

In Banjo-Kazooie, Bottles teaches Banjo and Kazooie how to fly atop The Salty Hippo in Treasure Trove Cove. It is performed by pressing A Button while on a Flight Pad, then using the Control Stick to steer or R Button to make sharper turns. While flying, A Button can be pressed to go higher in exchange of a Red Feather.

Banjo-Tooie

In Banjo-Tooie, Banjo and Kazooie start the game already knowing how to use the move, which is still performed the same way. When Split-Up from Banjo, Kazooie is able to fly by herself.

Jamjars also teaches the duo how to shoot eggs while flying with C-Up and Z Button in Witchyworld.

Trivia

  • Unused sprites in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge show a Flight Pad, Red Feathers and Banjo and Kazooie flying, although this move is not present in the final game.
