Humba Wumba debuted in Banjo-Tooie, residing in her wigman. She can transform the bear and bird into many forms as long as they have a Glowbo, magical creatures found throughout the worlds. The Glowbo gets thrown into a pool of water in the middle of the wigman, where the duo then jumps in to transform themselves. Once they complete the spell, a Glowbo is no longer needed. If Mumbo Jumbo enters the wigman, she will tell him to get out.

In the first one, she asks Banjo and Kazooie to race some workers. In the second one, she races Banjo herself with a plane. In the fourth act, she needs Banjo to race in a course where all checkpoints are airborn due to a problem caused by Klungo. In the last act, she hosts another race with some of the other employees.

In the Terrarium of Terror, Humba Wumba portrays "The Mooning Conservationist", trying to save the place's flora from extinction. She has challenges in Acts 1, 2, 3 and 4. In the first one, she asks Banjo to take her "customized plant-friendly" vehicle to a specific area so Kazooie can observe the flower and help Humba plant out her next expedition. In the second Act, she asks the duo to push "ecologically unsound space junk" from out of the airlock. Later, she asks the two to defeat a few Gruntbots that invaded the terrarium.

In the DLC L.O.G.'s Lost Challenges, Humba Wumba acts as "The Feisty Femme Fatale" that once tried to win the Jiggosseum Games, but "missed out in the final qualifying round," so she then set up a "top secret beta stage gymkhana course on Test-O-Track" to host her own games.
