Fire Eggs deal more damage than normal Blue Eggs and will set enemies aflame when they hit, but Kazooie can only fire two at a time and can initially hold a maximum of 50 (100 if used the EGGS cheatcode in code chamber in Mayahem Temple). Burning enemies will panic and run around but will not suffer any extra damage. Fire Eggs are useful in activating certain switches, such as the one which activates the door leading from the Plateau to the Pine Grove, and they can also be used to melt blocks of ice, light up dark areas, or defeat certain enemies quickly (such as Bang Boxes and Biggyfoots). Interestingly, they will still burn when fired underwater.

Certain enemies, such as Moggie, run around in panic when hit by a Fire Egg, and Kazooie can defeat it by shooting a second one at it. Fire Eggs have many uses, as they can activate Fire Egg Switches, melt blocks of ice, and light up dark areas. They are also effective underwater.

Fire Eggs can also be obtained in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge. With a slightly different firing mode, constant Breegull Blaster mode, Fire Eggs still act the same as they did in Tooie. They don't activate that many switches (Battery Eggs were introduced), but they are needed to destroy certain enemies, such as in the final boss fight (Green Spookos can only be killed by them). They are learned from Bozzeye.
In Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Bozzeye teaches about the Fire Eggs to Kazooie at Freezing Furnace for 470 Musical Notes. This makes it the last move that Bozzeye teaches, unlike Banjo-Tooie where Kazooie learns about Fire Eggs near the start of the adventure. Fire Eggs retain their role from Banjo-Tooie, although they do not activate as many switches. Green Spookos can only be defeated by Fire Eggs, which is required during the final boss battle.

Fire Eggs also act as an offensive item in Banjo-Pilot. Unlike the standard gun, Fire Eggs (obtained in singles and triples) home in on enemies and make them crash. They rarely miss, unless your opponent is a master at barrel rolls. They are extremely helpful in Dogfight battles.
In Banjo-Pilot, Fire Eggs are common items found in quantities of either one or three, which are respectively named Single Red Fire Egg and Triple Red Fire Eggs. Red Fire Eggs home in on the nearest racer in front of the user (similar to Red Shells in the Mario Kart series). If the racer is in first place, a Red Fire Egg has no effect. Racers can avoid them with either a Blue Ice Egg or by performing a U-turn. Red Fire Eggs are one of the most common items used in the Dogfight mode.

Jamjars

Fire Eggs are a fiery type of egg in the Banjo-Kazooie series. They first appear in Banjo-Tooie.

Appearances

Banjo-Tooie

Fire Eggs are one of the five eggs that Kazooie can use in Banjo-Tooie. Jamjars teaches her how to use them at the Plateau if she has at least 45 Musical Notes. Fire Eggs are only found in egg caches. Banjo and Kazooie can only carry up to 50, or 100 if they enter the EGGS cheat in the Code Chamber. As a dragon, Kazooie can shoot unlimited Fire Eggs.

Fire Eggs deal more damage than Blue Eggs, although they travel slower and Kazooie can shoot only two at a time. They instantly defeat enemies such as Bang Boxes and Biggyfoots.

Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge

In Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Bozzeye teaches about the Fire Eggs to Kazooie at Freezing Furnace for 470 Musical Notes. This makes it the last move that Bozzeye teaches, unlike Banjo-Tooie where Kazooie learns about Fire Eggs near the start of the adventure. Fire Eggs retain their role from Banjo-Tooie, although they do not activate as many switches. Green Spookos can only be defeated by Fire Eggs, which is required during the final boss battle.

Banjo-Pilot

In Banjo-Pilot, Fire Eggs are common items found in quantities of either one or three, which are respectively named Single Red Fire Egg[1] and Triple Red Fire Eggs[1].

In the 2003 Diddy Kong Pilot, Red Fire Eggs were originally pink Buzzes, which also appeared in single and triple quantities.
