Grenade Eggs are items from Banjo-Tooie that are just like normal, blue eggs, but they are an awful lot slower to shoot. Banjo may only carry 25 of them at a time (50 if you use the "EGGS" Cheat Code). They are important in the game because they are used for blowing up special walls and doors to proceed through the game.

“For blasting things these eggs were made, don't stand close when you fire a grenade!”
Jamjars, Banjo-Tooie

Grenade Eggs are a recurring item in the Banjo-Kazooie series.

Location and uses[edit]

Grenade Eggs are a type of egg used to explode their targets.

Banjo-Tooie[edit]

In Banjo-Tooie, Jamjars teaches Kazooie to use Grenade Eggs in the Isle O' Hags' Pine Grove if the duo has at least 110 Musical Notes. When Kazooie fires a Grenade Egg, it explodes upon impact. Grenade Eggs can defeat most enemies including stronger ones such as the Sput Sputs and Fruities, even from the resulting blast. Grenade Eggs can also destroy rock barriers and breakable walls. Banjo and Kazooie must avoid using the Grenade Eggs in close range, else the resulting explosion damages and sends them flying backward. Kazooie can only fire one Grenade Egg at a time, unlike Blue Eggs where three can be fired in succession. The duo can carry up to 25 Grenade Eggs, although the "EGGS" cheat doubles the maximum to 50.

Nuts & Bolts[edit]

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Grenade Eggs can be fired from the Grenade Gun and Grenade Turret vehicle parts.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Grenade Eggs are used in Banjo and Kazooie's down special, Rear Egg. They bounce slowly along the ground before exploding after a few seconds, and can be picked up and thrown.
