Scrat is one of the Styracosaurus children found at Terrydactyland in Banjo-Tooie. Scrat is the eldest of the children, and he has yellow skin, red eyes and thick eyelashes, giving him a feminine look. The Nintendo Power guide incorrectly labels Scrat as a female. Scrat has two siblings: a brother named Scrit and a sister named Scrut. His mother is named Scrotty.
During the game, Scrat got sick, reportedly from not washing his claws before eating. Mumbo Jumbo is the only one who can heal him and his siblings. Using the Taxi Pack, Banjo must take Scrat into the Train Station and take him to Cliff Top, where Mumbo uses the Heal spell on Scrat. After Scrat is healed and returned to the Terrydactyland Train Station, he exclaims that he feels healthy and returns home. Once Banjo and Kazooie help all three Styracosaurus children, their mother, Scrotty, rewards them with a Jiggy.
