Madame Grunty's Tent is a location in Banjo-Tooie.

Features and overview[edit]

Madame Grunty's Tent is an attraction of Witchyworld, located in one of the corners that circle the Big Top. It is a red tent with a pattern of yellow moons and stars, and is run by Gruntilda (who calls herself "Madame Grunty"). Outside of Madame Grunty's Tent is a signpost that welcomes visitors, although is contractually obliged to warn that they may dislike their fortune. The interior of the tent is never shown.

Banjo and Kazooie can enter here to view their fortune, which is decided at random. One fortune has Grunty rewarding either Gold Feathers or Blue Eggs to the duo. Another fortune involves Grunty beating the duo for a few seconds before throwing them out of the tent, causing them to lose a Honeycomb unit. Grunty rarely provides the fortune where she shares the "GETJIGGY" cheat, presumably because of the advantage it gives Banjo and Kazooie in their adventure. After providing the cheat, Grunty demands Banjo and Kazooie to leave, which suggests that Grunty shared the cheat reluctantly.

After Banjo and Kazooie are beaten or if they obtain a lot of items without getting beaten, Grunty says that she needs to refurbish, so she closes the tent. After a few minutes, if Banjo and Kazooie are still in Witchyworld, Grunty notifies the duo that she has reopened her tent.

In Banjo-Pilot, Madame Grunty's Tent appears in the background of the Witchyworld course.
