A L'il Terry
“That's one of my precious babies! Aww, isn't it cute?”
Terry, Banjo-Tooie

L'il Terrys[1] are four baby pterodactyls, whose father is Terry. He is very protective of them, even trying to fight who he thought had stolen them.

History

Banjo-Tooie

In Banjo-Tooie, the L'il Terrys are first found still inside their eggs, away from their father who thinks they were stolen. When Banjo and Kazooie first meet Terry, he thinks that they stole his eggs and ends up fighting them. After being defeated, however, they manage to convince him that they were not the ones who took the eggs, even going as far as offering to find and bring them back to the nest. This causes Terry to give them a Jiggy and activate a Flight Pad to aid in their search.

There are four eggs in total, each being located in different locations, those being a plateau in the lake, the Oogle Boogles' Cave, the Unga Bunga's Cave and Inside the Mountain. Kazooie must use the Hatch ability to hatch these eggs and allow the pterodactyl babies to fly to their father. The last one to hatch, however, is too big to fly by herself and must instead be carried by Banjo using the Taxi Pack ability.

Once all four babies have returned to the nest, Terry rewards the duo with another Jiggy.

The exhibit in Banjoland.

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, the L'il Terrys' eggs can be found still unhatched inside the Terry's Nest exhibit in Banjoland. Additionally, in the description of the Humba Wide blueprint, Humba Wumba says that the vehicle is "wide, but could break up easier than Terry's eggs in cement mixer".
