Gobgoyles[1] are gargoyle-like statues found in both the Lava and Icy sides of Hailfire Peaks in Banjo-Tooie.
Gobgoyles usually hide along the walls. At the lava side, Gobgoyles attack by spitting fireballs at Banjo and Kazooie, and at the ice side, they attack by spitting ice balls. Gobgoyles can only be defeated by a Grenade Egg.
Normally found in the inside areas of Hailfire Peaks, with a few exceptions, Fire Gobgoyles possess ruby-red eyes on a dark brown body made of stone, while Ice Gobgoyles possess bodies made of ice. Their heads will stare at the duo until the bear and bird get out of their range. But if they do not do this in time, the Gobgoyle will spit a meteor like projectile, much like Chilli Billi's large, fiery rock that he shoots down before defeating him. Although this rock is moderately downsized, not as fast, and is easy to avoid.
