This is a list of pre-release and unused content from Banjo-Tooie.

Bottles' Revenge

Devil Bottles, the main feature of Bottles' Revenge

Bottles' Revenge is an unused game mode in Banjo-Tooie, which can only be accessed by using a cheating device.

The mode entails Bottles' ghost adopting a devilish appearance, colloquially referred to as Devil Bottles, and allowing a second player to take control of a nearby enemy and use it to antagonize Player 1. Sparkles appear above controllable enemies that are within range. If multiple controllable enemies are in range, player 2 can use the R button to switch between them. If an enemy controlled by Devil Bottles successfully defeats Banjo, control of Banjo is handed to player 2, and player 1 is given control of Devil Bottles. If Banjo enters a boss fight, Devil Bottles will disappear until the fight is over. Although Devil Bottles was removed, his talk icon can be seen in the Tower of Tragedy quiz as one of the icons for selectable answers. Devil Bottles was intended to control bosses as well, but Rare thought it made the game too difficult by disrupting a boss's attack patterns.

This mode was removed entirely from the Xbox Live Arcade port of Banjo-Tooie, although his talk icon was updated for the Tower of Tragedy quiz. The idea for the mode was eventually retooled as the "Counter Operative" mode in Perfect Dark.
