She is disgusted with evil sister [[Gruntilda]] and helps [[Banjo]] and [[Kazooie]] by telling them interesting facts about her. While this may seem completely trivial and pointless at the time she tells them, they are actually very helpful (and borderline required) during certain questions of [[Grunty's Furnace Fun]].
In ''[[Banjo-Kazooie]]'', Brentilda's first appearance, she can be found in various points throughout [[Gruntilda's Lair]] and, when encountered, will tell the duo facts about her sister's life which are often regarded as "disgusting," such as the flavor of her tooth paste, what was her nickname in witch school, where she sleeps among other trivia about the witch. While they may seem useless, these facts are required to be known in order to answer specific questions in [[Grunty's Furnace Fun]], near the end of the game. The pieces of information told by Brentilda will change in every save file, each having three possible variations picked at random. If Banjo and Kazooie's health bar is low when talking to her in a new area for the first time, she will refill it completely.

In stark contrast with her sisters' drab black robes, Brentilda wears a frilly, lacey, layered pink gown. She has her whitish-blond hair up in a bun and wears a golden diadem. She holds a sharp star-tipped wand and appears to wear very thin-framed glasses.

Brentilda hides around various points around [[Gruntilda's Lair]]. Gruntilda is likely not aware of her presence, or is simply too lazy to deal with getting rid of her; thus she is free to run wild, working behind her back and pulling strings behind the scenes to get the duo to defeat her.
