Banjo-Kazooie[edit]
In Banjo-Kazooie, their first appearance, Snippets are mostly found at Treasure Trove Cove, but also appear in Clanker's Cavern and Gruntilda's Lair. Like most enemies, Snippets try to attack Banjo when he is nearby. They move by sidestepping toward Banjo while snapping their claws. If Banjo and Kazooie either perform a Forward Roll at one or shoot an egg at it, the Snippet flips onto its back. Snippet can then be defeated from another hit, causing its body to break apart as a honeycomb is released. If the duo are not quick enough at attacking a Snippet while it is flipped over, it gets up after a few seconds. Snippets can also be defeated from either a Beak Buster or Wonderwing attack, both of which result in two honeycombs being released instead of one.
There is a Black Snippet in the Sandcastle of Treasure Trove Cove. In Clanker's Cavern, there is a small cave where mutated Snippets, known as Mutie-Snippets, are found.
Grunty's Revenge[edit]
In Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Snippets are found in the Magic Angler, Frozen Fish and Fishy Fingers mini-games. They appear as obstacles, not scoring any points when fished, unlike the red fish which need to be collected in order to win the mini-games' respective Jiggies.
