The most recognizable and well-known Broomstick is arguably the one from the original Banjo-Kazooie. It had green eyes and no lines except an occasional grunt. After being merely referenced to in Banjo-Tooie, the next time a Broomstick appeared was in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, where it appeared, updated, as a powerful mechanical doomsday-device-like vehichle to fit the game's gimick and concept.

Sometimes, the broomstick will stop and smoke will come out of it. While Gruntilda tries to fix it by hitting it, she's vulnerable to attacks. Later in the battle, Grunty will start using the broom to stay of reach and avoid most of the duo's attacks. After being attacked by the Mighty Jinjonator, the broomstick will be destroyed and Gruntilda will fall off her tower into a hole in the ground.

Gruntida's Broomstick only has one simple task; to carry Grunty's considerably heavy weight from place to place. The Broom is first used by Grunty to fly from her tower and kidnap Tooty. After being absent for the near-entirety of the game, it reappears after Grunty loses the mini game where she rides into the room that leads to the top. Then we will meet the broom again in the final battle to serve Gruntilda by swooping down to attack Banjo and Kazooie. humorously, when the Broomstick stops, it begins smoking and sputtering, forcing Gruntilda to begin smacking it like a disabled car to restart it (which is the duo's chance to attack). Later in the battle, she uses it to stay out of reach from most of the duo's attacks, but, after being struck by all 4 Jinjo Statues, the Broomstick is destroyed, exploding into splinters, grounding Gruntilda in the process.

This particular Broom's name is revealed by Brentilda to be either The Super Gutlifter Pro, The Lardmaster 2000, or The Rough Rider Deluxe, depending on the save file. A painting of the Broom also appears in Mad Monster Mansion's dining room as one of the seven pictures

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Grunty takes to the air in a vehicle modeled after a broomstick in the final battle. The battle encompasses a total of five vehicles, with the broomstick being the last (and thus most difficult) in her arsenal. The broom is equipped with a Laser and a Clockwork Kaz, making it a very dangerous monstrosity. Also, it has two Mumbo Bombo's (on both fuel's both sides) and Piddles making mischief with an Egg Turret.

The Broomstick is very quick, making it hard to attack. To defeat it, Banjo and Kazooie must knock Gruntilda off her seat.

Aside from its weapons, the Broom is very fast and nimble, making it very hard to damage. These factors easily make it the most difficult and time-consuming part of the challenge. However, as to defeat Grunty you need to knock she off her seat, this becomes the vehicle which has less protection on Dingpot (helping, if your vehicle is stable, to defeat her with ease).

“Behold the Broomstick, our last fight approaches! I'll sweep you aside like troublesome roaches!”
Gruntilda, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

The Broomstick is a recurring character and Gruntilda's primary mode of transportation. Various iterations of this character appeared throughout the series, such as it's first version in Banjo-Kazooie which had green eyes and only occasionally grunted.

History

Banjo-Kazooie

The Broomstick first appeared in Banjo-Kazooie. Gruntilda is first seen using it at the start of the game, where she uses it to kidnap Tooty. After not being used for the rest of the game, the Broomstick is again used by Gruntilda when Banjo and Kazooie win the Grunty's Furnace Fun. The broom is again used in the final battle against Gruntilda, where she tries to attack the duo by swooping down while riding it, and the broomstick opening it's mouth with sharp teeth.

The Broom's name is revealed by Brentilda to be either The Super Gutlifter Pro, The Lardmaster 2000, or The Rough Rider Deluxe, depending on the save file. A painting of the Broom also appears in Mad Monster Mansion's dining room as one of the seven pictures

Banjo-Tooie

The Broomstick is mentioned in Banjo-Tooie. When defeating Klungo for the first time, he will run back to Gruntilda and ask for her to "please beat [him] with Broomssstick". In later battles, Klungo will have many bruises, indicating Gruntilda indeed beated him with the Broomstick.

Banjo-Pilot

In Banjo-Pilot, the Broomstick appears as the symbol of Broomstick Cup from Grunty Grand Prix. The Broomstick has a largely different design from it's previous iteration, being generic broom with yellow bristles and googly eyes on the handle.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

Grunty's Broomstick vehicle in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Gruntilda uses a vehicle version of her Broomstick as the fifth (and most difficult) part of the final battle. The vehicle has a laser and a Clockwork Kaz, adding to the fight's difficulty. It also has two Mumbo Bombos and Piddles using the Egg Turret. The Broomstick is very quick, making it hard to attack. To defeat it, Banjo and Kazooie must knock Gruntilda off her seat.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the Broomstick makes a cameo appearance on the Spiral Mountain DLC stage. Gruntilda swoops in on riding the Broomstick when the camera rests with her lair in the background. Its appearance is based on its original design from Banjo-Kazooie.
