Claw Swipe is the first attack learned from Spiral Mountain in Banjo-Kazooie, and the least damaging attack in the game. It can be used simply by pressing the B button either while stationary or moving slowly. When used, Banjo swipes at enemies with his claws and takes a couple of steps forward. Because of its low power, slow execution time, and overall impracticality when fighting moving enemies, this attack isn't of much use, although its simplicity makes it a good practice move for beginners to fight weaker enemies.

Overview[edit]

Banjo-Kazooie[edit]

Claw Swipe is the first ability that Banjo learns from Bottles in Banjo-Kazooie. It is taught in Spiral Mountain, when Banjo fights a Topper. It can be used by simply pressing B Button while either idle or by moving slowly. When used, Banjo swipes his claws and takes a couple of steps forward. The Claw Swipe is optional to use, and is one of the weakest of the game.

Claw Swipe is one of the only abilities that does not appear in Banjo-Tooie. It was replaced with Kazooie's Peck attack, or Pack Whack if Banjo and Kazooie are separated.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the Claw Swipe appears as Banjo's neutral standard attack, and now ends with an uppercut if a combo attack is made with it.
