Slappas are an enemy in Banjo-Kazooie.

Slappa is a large mummified hand similar to Grabba found as an enemy in Gobi's Valley. It lies in wait under the sand until Banjo passes by, then springing up and slapping the ground in an attempt to crush him. If Banjo is too far away to reach, the Slappa can actually chase him by plowing through the sand until the bear moves out of its limited territorial range. Although Slappas can be defeated fairly easily with a few hits from the Rat-a-tat Rap, an effective one-hit kill strategy is to wait until Slappa hits the ground, then Beak Bust it before it can get up.
