*Some players believe that the [[Din-Din|fish]] found in [[Hailfire Peaks]] that is later given to [[Boggy]] may in fact be Gloop because of its striking resemblance to the bubble-blowing fish.
*He may be a reference to the next world; Bubblegloop Swamp as he makes a BUBBLE and his name is GLOOP.
*The popular YouTube show Game Grumps made a joke about Gloop in which he has friends that only like him and invite him to parties because of his 'fart' bubbles (even though they come out of his mouth). The episode in which they make this joke is aptly called "Dude, Gloop, Come Over!"

Gloop is a friendly blue fish who lives in the lowest regions of Clanker's Cavern in Banjo-Kazooie. It swims around in an underwater pit where Clanker is chained from. Gloop spits out a sequence of air bubbles that refill Banjo and Kazooie's oxygen supply. Gloop does this every few seconds, followed by a brief pause. The air bubbles give Banjo and Kazooie enough time to swim through the large key three times, which unlocks Clanker's chain.
