Boss Boom Box is a giant Boom Box found within the Rusty Bucket in Banjo-Kazooie, being the boss of Rusty Bucket Bay in the game.
To enter Boss Boom Box's hold, a large TNT box needs to be dropped on its entrance, destroying the door and allowing Banjo and Kazooie to access it.
During the battle, Boss Boom Box hops around the room attempting to attack the duo. After having been hit a certain number of times, he splits into two smaller Boss Boom Boxes, which can then be also attacked to eventually split into more boxes and this continues until all 15 boxes have been destroyed. Every split box has less health and more speed than the box they came from, and they go through four different sizes. Once completely destroyed, Boss Boom Box leaves a Jiggy in the room.
During Grunty's Furnace Fun, defeating Boss Boom Box in 70 seconds is one of the many tasks that can be done when landing on a Stopwatch space.
Trivia
- It is possible to obtain Boss Boom Box's Jiggy in Banjo-Kazooie without fighting him through a glitch. To trigger it, a Blue Egg needs to be fired at the boss while he is still in the ground, causing the fight to start while the Jiggy is still on the room. Banjo and Kazooie can then simply grab it and leave, as the room is not locked.
