The Jiggosseum is a location in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.

Features and overview[edit]

Jiggosseum is the fourth Game World. It is a large stadium with man different sports that can be played, and its name is a portmanteau of "Jiggy" and "Colosseum."

Areas[edit]

The Jiggosseum.
  • Food court
  • Race track
  • Dome of Strength
  • High Path
  • The Bleachers

Starring[edit]

ACT 1[edit]

Jiggy Challenges[edit]

Unhappy Landings

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Mr. Fit
  • A simple game of long jump. Launch yourself off the bottom of the ski jump and travel as far as possible once off the ramp. You'll lose control, so choose a vehicle with plenty of momentum.

Fat Blokes in Nappies

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Pikelet
  • Push all the sumo blocks off the dartboard as quickly as possible. You'll need a vehicle with lots of power and weight to shift these pork pie-munching mammoths.

Jinjo Challenges[edit]

Jinjo Taxi

  • L.O.G.'s Choice
  • Game Host: Purple Jinjo
  • Jinjo Taxi: This Jinjo needs to reach a new destination within a time limit. Wild rides are the Jinjo's preference, so you'll be using a bike.

Jinjo Race

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Red Jinjo
  • Jinjo Race: The Jinjo gets to choose the racetrack and number of laps, but try to reach the finish line first anyway. This is a land-based race.

ACT 2[edit]

Jiggy Challenges[edit]

Tumblin' Domies

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Boggy
  • A nice relaxing game of dominoes? Maybe later, as here you need to knock over as many as possible. When the first one is hit your controls are frozen, so make the initial strike count.

Burnin' Rubber

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Trophy Thomas
  • A land-based endurance race around the arena. A balance of speed and sufficient fuel is what you should be looking for here.

Half-Time Snacks

  • L.O.G.'s Choice
  • Game Host: Bottles
  • The spectators are hungry and demand some snacks. Deliver the pizzas before they go cold! Some of the spectators are in the cheap seats, so you may want to consider flying there.

Jinjo Tokens[edit]

Jinjo Combat

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Red Jinjo
  • Jinjo Combat: Indulge the Jinjo in a one-on-one sumo-style battle. The aim being to push your opponent out of the area before you're pushed out yourself.

Jinjo Speed

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Blue Jinjo
  • Jinjo Speed: This demanding Jinjo wants to see you achieve a certain speed, so hit the accelerator and try to reach the target on your speedometer.

Jinjo Hurling

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Orange Jinjo
  • Jinjo Hurling: For whatever reason, this Jinjo wishes to be propelled as far as possible. You can oblige with a forceful collision.

ACT 3[edit]

Jiggy Challenges[edit]

A Load of Blocks

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Trophy Thomas
  • A land-based hurdles race around the arena track. You can go either over or through the hurdles, so choose your vehicle accordingly.

Brown Bears Can't Jump

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Mr. Fit
  • Shoot some hoops with Jiggosseum basketball. You'll need a vehicle that's capable of getting the balls through the hoop in the air, so I'm guessing the Trolley won't be much use.

Heavy Balls and Hairy Pits

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Bottles
  • A Jiggosseum favorite, the shot putt. Launch the ball off the dartboard as far as possible. A vehicle that strikes hard and fast with some weight behind it should be strongly considered.

World's Strongest Bear

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Captain Blubber
  • Hoist the bowling balls onto the rostrum. The key to this game is lifting, so you'll need a vehicle that can somehow life the balls up high enough.

Jinjo Challenges[edit]

Jinjo Combat

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Green Jinjo
  • Jinjo Combat: Indulge the Jinjo in a one-on-one sumo-style battle. The aim being to push your opponent out of the area before you're pushed out yourself.

Jinjo Taxi

  • L.O.G.'s Choice
  • Game Host: Yellow Jinjo
  • Jinjo Taxi: This Jinjo needs to reach a new destination within a time limit. Wild rides are the Jinjo's preference, so you'll be using a bike.

ACT 4[edit]

Jiggy Challenges[edit]

Who Left the Tap On?

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Gruntilda
  • Grunty's flooded the Jiggosseum and refuses to leave until she has been bested at water polo. Choose a floating water vehicle and whack the balls through the wreath-themed goal.

Jinjo Challenges[edit]

Jinjo Race

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Purple Jinjo
  • Jinjo Race: The Jinjo gets to choose the racetrack and number of laps, but try to reach the finish line first anyway. This Jinjo has a head for heights, so choose a vehicle capable of flight.

Jinjo Fetch

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Orange Jinjo
  • Jinjo Fetch: These creatures can be remarkably clumsy. Listen to the tale of woe then set out to find and retrieve the misplaced item. Water is involved in this one, so choose your vehicle accordingly.

ACT 5[edit]

Jiggy Challenges[edit]

9-Ball Nightmare

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Gruntilda
  • The pool balls are racked, and it's Grunty's break. Defend or hie the balls from her laser cue. They could be anywhere, so be prepared! Stop Grunty destroying 5 balls to win the fame.

Jinjo Challenges[edit]

Jinjo Combat

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Blue Jinjo
  • Jinjo Combat: Indulge the Jinjo in a one-on-one sumo-style battle. The aim being to push your opponent out of the area before you're pushed out yourself.

Jinjo Speed

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Green Jinjo
  • Jinjo Speed: This demanding Jinjo wants to see you achieve a certain speed, so hit the accelerator and try to reach the target on your speedometer.

Jinjo Hurling

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Purple Jinjo
  • Jinjo Hurling: For whatever reason, this Jinjo wishes to be propelled as far as possible. You can oblige with a forceful collision.

ACT 6[edit]

Jiggy Challenges[edit]

The Jiggosseum Torch

  • L.O.G.'s Choice
  • Game Host: Captain Blubber
  • Transport the flame across the flooded arena to light the hallowed Jiggosseum torch. A torch-carrying floating boat is my recommendation.

Up the Oche

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Boggy
  • Take your time and listen to L.O.G. Throw your vehicle off the end of the jump and aim for the scoring zones across the stadium. When you leave the ramp, your vehicle's power will be cut.

Bear in a Ball

  • L.O.G.'s Choice
  • Game Host: Trophy Thomas
  • Negotiate the land-based course without knocking over the dominoes. Each one toppled adds penalty seconds to your timer, so hurry, but be careful!

Smashin' Time

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Bottles
  • Break the dice to score points. All are tough, but some more so than others. Your vehicle needs to pack a punch if you're hoping to demolish these cube-like...er...cubes.

No Holds Beared

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Pikelet
  • Good afternoon, grapple fans! Square off against a vehicle-based opponent and try to shove each other off the dartboard. I suspect your vehicle will need to be good at pushing.

Jinjo Challenges[edit]

Jinjo Fetch

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Green Jinjo
  • Jinjo Fetch: These creatures can be remarkably clumsy. Listen to the tale of woe then set out to find and retrieve the misplaced item. I'd recommend a vehicle that can take to the air this time.

Jinjo Speed

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Yellow Jinjo
  • Jinjo Speed: This demanding Jinjo wants to see you achieve a certain speed, so hit the accelerator and try to reach the target on your speedometer.

Jinjo Hurling

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Blue Jinjo
  • Jinjo Hurling: For whatever reason, this Jinjo wishes to be propelled as far as possible. You can oblige with a forceful collision.

Trivia[edit]

  • The Jiggosseum's introduction sequence is a parody of Dynasty.
  • The Jiggosseum's theme uses parts of the Hailfire Peaks theme from Banjo-Tooie.
  • In the Jiggosseum's scoreboard, a text scrolls through that reads "Latest Results ......... Football: L.O.G. City 10 - Grunty Rovers 0 ... Grottenham Coldspur 1 - Dullby County 3 ... Jinjo Village 2 - Dingpot Town 1 ... Twycross Athletic 4 - Trashton Villa 0 ......... Jolly 'The Brown Ball' Dodger beat Missin' Merry Maggie 3-0 ... 'Jump Shot' Jamjars beat Babs 'Ball Buffer' Buffbrass 3-1 ......... Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts must be boring if you are still reading this rather than playing the game ......... Cricket: Nobody in the U.S.A. can understand the rules, but Boringshire beat South Yawnshire by an innings and 265 runs to claim an old dusty cup presented by an even older man ......... Baseball: Pikelet Brown Sox 3 - Tooty Angels 7 ... Jinjo Giants 9 - Minjo Dodgers 6 ... Jolly Bandits 11 - Canary Mary Cardinals 2 ......... And finally, the sporting calendar showcase ............... Dominoes: In the 134th Showdown Town Domino Marathon held at Ye Olde Empty Kettle, Lord Woo Fak Fak beat Weldar after 5 years and 172 days' play due to Weldar rusting away to nothing. Fak Fak wins the first prize of 50 pence and a bag of pork scratchings ................"
  • As the Jiggosseum is the only Game World in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts with two challenges hosted by Gruntilda, it is possible one of them (likely "9-Ball Nightmare") was intended to be in the scrapped Weird West Game World.
