I've played all the Banjo-Kazooie games except Banjo-Pilot (which is a spinoff and isn't really part of Banjo-Kazooie canon), Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie being 100% completion. Banjo-Tooie is my favorite Banjo-Kazooie game, and my second-favorite game overall (it's a VERY close second). I also edit Zeldapedia.

Status[edit]

This is basically where I tell you all where I am with the games in the Banjo-Kazooie series.

Banjo-Kazooie: I finished this 100% once and never bothered to play it again for quite a long time, due to the horrendous gameplay feature where you have to start over when you die. I started playing it again, was reminded how much I hated Rusty Bucket Bay, stopped playing for a while, starting playing again, played through Click Clock Wood, died, skipped to Grunty's Furnace Fun, didn't have enough Jiggies to fight her, and finally just stopped playing. I may resume eventually, but it's not going to happen anytime soon.

Banjo-Tooie: I played through this game about 10-12 times, the latter 7 being 100% completion.

Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge: The first time I played this, I never had enough Jiggies to get to last world, and I never really bothered to get them, nor did I ever really care. However, I recently started playing it again, and I've almost completed it 100%. The only thing I still have to do is defeating the last boss.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts: I defeated Grunty and started working on getting achievements, but I unfortunately had to give up on completing 100% due to certain utterly frustrating challenges.

Favorites[edit]

These are my favorite characters, worlds, etc. They're in order, where #1 is my favorite.

Characters[edit]

  1. Kazooie
  2. Klungo
  3. Salty Joe
  4. Mingy Jongo
  5. Saucer of Peril

Worlds[edit]

These will be broken up, since there are far too many to choose from otherwise. Grunty's Revenge is absent because I don't remember what the worlds were called, nor what they were like.

Banjo-Kazooie[edit]

  1. Freezeezy Peak
  2. Mad Monster Mansion
  3. Clanker's Cavern

Banjo-Tooie[edit]

  1. Grunty Industries
  2. Hailfire Peaks
  3. Witchyworld

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts[edit]

  1. Banjoland
  2. Jiggoseum
  3. Spiral Mountain

Bosses[edit]

These will be based off of the fight, not the character itself.

  1. Weldar
  2. Chilly Willy or Chilli Billi (whichever you choose to fight second)
  3. Klungo (third fight, with the blue potion is ideal, although any Klungo fight is enjoyable)

Transformations[edit]

  1. Dragon Kazooie
  2. Walrus Banjo
  3. Pumpkin Banjo

Songs[edit]

Like worlds, these will be broken up.

Banjo-Kazooie[edit]

  1. Banjo-Kazooie theme (I prefer this version over the Banjo-Tooie version since this one shows them actually playing the instruments)
  2. Rusty Bucket Bay
  3. Clanker's Cavern
  4. Mad Monster Mansion
  5. Gruntilda's Lair

Banjo-Tooie[edit]

  1. Hailfire Peaks (Lava Side)
  2. Spiral Mountain
  3. Glitter Gulch Mine
  4. Klungo's theme
  5. Mr. Patch

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts[edit]

  1. Banjoland
  2. Jiggoseum
  3. Hero Klungo Sssavesss Teh World theme
  4. Gruntilda's theme (the song that plays when you do a Grunty challenge)
  5. Spiral Mountain

Least Favorite Things[edit]

The same rules apply here, only #1 is now my least favorite.

  2. Bee Banjo (Banjo-Kazooie)
  3. Stony Banjo

Reasoning[edit]

Just to give some reasoning behind my dislike for some of these things, since I know that some people out there like them, I dislike Captain Blubber because his talking in Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie sounds like belching, I dislike Big Al because he's disgusting (I shouldn't really need to tell you why I think he's disgusting), I dislike Rusty Bucket Bay because it's so darn easy to die there, and all the notes/Jinjos/etc. are strewn around the level, and I really don't have the patience to go around and collect the stuff all over again, and I dislike Gobi's Valley for much the same reason. I actually love the concept of Click Clock Wood, with the changing seasons and such, but again, it's very easy to die in that world, and everything is randomly strewn around in such a way that I don't want to go around collecting them again. I dislike the Terrarium of Terror mainly because of the layout, since it's incredibly difficult to avoid the various obstacles during a race while still going fast enough to win. Some of the challenges in that world also get on my nerves. I actually don't dislike Nutty Acres, but I had to put it in my least favorites because it's still worse than all the worlds in my favorites. As for Jolly Roger's Lagoon, I love the town, but I utterly hate any underwater level, with almost no exceptions. Cloud Cuckooland and Terrydactyland, like Nutty Acres, aren't disliked, they're just the worst of the best. I dislike the Washing Machine transformation because it's big, awkward, and its attack sucks. I dislike the Stony transformation because it's slow and its attack is very awkward. Anything else that I dislike is disliked for an obvious and/or insignificant reason.

Interesting facts[edit]

These are all things that I noticed myself, and I didn't take any of these from the "Did you know..." Template or any trivia sections of the site.

  1. Roysten is invincible. I'm serious. He was able to survive being grilled by Mumbo, cooked by Mrs. Bottles, trapped under a boulder (on dry land, I might add), hit by Grunty's attack on Banjo's house, and pulverized by the people that have used his fishbowl in their vehicles and crashed into things.
  2. There is only one "regular" Jippo Jim in the entirety of Banjo-Tooie.
  3. Baby T-Rex is the only transformation in Banjo-Tooie that cannot deal damage to enemies.
  4. After completing Teh Previousss Bitsss in Hero Klungo Sssavesss Teh World, Klungo runs into a pit (at least, that's what he did in my game).
  5. Glitter Gulch Mine is the only main world that does not have Snapdragons.
  6. Targitzan and Mingy Jongo are the only bosses that truly die. Old King Coal appears to die, but he talks even after his supposed "death", implying that he somehow survived. Mr. Patch also seems to die, but it is revealed in Nuts & Bolts that he merely deflated - if he is reinflated, he will be a threat again. It is somewhat implied that Lord Woo Fak Fak dies, but he also talks even after going "belly up", implying he is not dead, just, er, stuck upside down. Weldar's body blows up, but he can apparently survive as just a head, as evidenced by his talking after being beheaded. Same thing with Grunty. (Klungo, Terry, Chilli Billi, and Chilly Willy are not implied dead at all, so I didn't mention them)
  7. While it is not official at all, the pumpkin transformation is technically the transformation of Gruntilda's Lair, since Mumbo can transform you into a Pumpkin in the small "raise water level switch" (if anybody can supply me with the official name of these switches, that would be appreciated) area in the Graveyard.
  8. In Jolly's Jukebox, there is no Hailfire Peaks Aquatic Icy Side song, despite the fact that there are two places in the Icy Side in which you can go underwater (in the room with the Mega-Glowbo and in the Train Station).
  9. See previous fact, but change "Hailfire Peaks Aquatic Icy Side" to "Aquatic Witchyword", "there are two places in the Icy Side" to "there is one place in Witchyworld", and "(in the room with the Mega-Glowbo and in the Train Station)" to "(the Dive of Death)".

Maximum amount of Glowbos you can carry at one time?[edit]

Just something I'm trying to figure out. I know it's not just the amount of Glowbos in the game, since there are a lot of things you need to do with Mumbo and/or Humba to progress through the game (such as the fact that you need Mumbo to oxygenate the water in Jolly Roger's Lagoon in order to learn the Talon Torpedo, which you absolutely need to progress through the game, for example). I've considered actually testing it out by playing through the game, but seeing as I just replayed it, I don't think that's going to happen for a while. If you have an educated guess, please leave a comment on my talk page.
