- “Look... nice snacks for Yum-Yum!”
- —A Yum-Yum, Banjo-Kazooie
Yum-yums are large clam enemies that dwell around shore-based locations. They appear in Treasure Trove Cove from Banjo-Kazooie, and later in both Breegull Beach and Spiller's Harbor from Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge.
The main trait of Yum-yums is how they continuously clamp their jaws while moving around. Banjo and Kazooie must avoid being bitten by Yum-yums, otherwise they lose a Honeycomb, and even a Red Feather and a Blue Egg. Yum-yums also eat dropped items, which Banjo and Kazooie can quickly recollect before a Yum-yum reaches them. In Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Yum-yums also eat Golden Feathers.

- In Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Yum-yum has an entire set of unused sprites for a slightly different design of the enemy, still visible in the game's data.
