This list of implied characters is a list of characters who have been mentioned at least once throughout the Banjo-Kazooie series, but have not physically appeared in any form of media as of yet.

A. Jinjo[edit]

A. Jinjo is a player mentioned in the Jiggosseum's scoreboard from Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. It is mentioned that, in the "Tennis" section, he scored 6 points in each of the match's three rounds and won against G. Talbot, who scored 0, 1 and 0 points in them, respectively.

Captain Foobar[edit]

Captain Foobar is a character from "Star Spanners," a series that Pikelet mentions in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. When all rewards are won in the "Germs Warfare" challenge of the Terrarium of Terror's second Act, he compares Banjo and Kazooie's performance to Captain Foobar in the 23rd episode of the series where he "vaporized the Dangleberry Drones."

Dave Jinjo[edit]

Dave Jinjo is a character mentioned during Act 5 of the Terrarium of Terror in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. It is stated that he made a bet with a yellow Jinjo that "licensed bear drivers" can't go fast, and his friend wants Banjo to prove him wrong.

Dingpot's girlfriend[edit]

Dingpot's girlfriend is a character mentioned by Dingpot in Banjo-Kazooie, in the room before the final battle against Gruntilda. He states that she was a saucepan, and had her handle broken by the witch.

Granny Jinjo[edit]

Granny Jinjo was a character mentioned during Act 5 of the Terrarium of Terror in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. If the Jinjo Hurling challenge hosted by a purple Jinjo is failed, he will say that "even Granny Jinjo could do it, and she's dead."

Gruntilda's best friend[edit]

Fatty Hatty, Sweaty Betty or Saggy Maggy (depending on the save file) is a character mentioned by Brentilda in Banjo-Kazooie. According to her, she was Gruntilda's best friend in Witch School.

Additionally, one of the possible names for Gruntilda's favorite boutique is "Saggy Maggy's Boutique."

Gruntilda's childhood pet[edit]

The baby dragon, mad vulture or greasy warthog (depending on the save file) is a character mentioned by Brentilda in Banjo-Kazooie. According to her, it used to be the witch's pet when she was younger.

Gruntilda's dog[edit]

Ripper, Legchomper or Bignacka (depending on the save file) is a character mentioned by Brentilda in Banjo-Kazooie. He is Gruntilda's "nasty pet dog."

The name "Ripper" is a reference to Captain Blackeye's dog from the canceled Dream: Land of Giants, while "Bignacka" is likely a portmanteau of "big" and "knacker," a British slang used to refer to the testicles.

Gruntilda's ex-boyfriend[edit]

Undead Ed, Dirty Berty or Greasy Grant (depending on the save file) is a character mentioned by Brentilda in Banjo-Kazooie. According to her, he was Gruntilda's "first and last boyfriend."

His names likely come from Ed Bryan, Paul J. Machacek and Grant Kirkhope, respectively, three of the game's developers.

King Sandybutt[edit]

King Sandybutt is a character said to be the ruler of Gobi's Valley. He is found inside a tomb in said world, being the location of his hidden Jiggy. The maze is guarded by a Mum-mum, who attempts to keep Banjo and Kazooie away but ultimately fails.

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, in the description for the Pyramid exhibit of Banjoland, it is said that it "was torn out of Gobi's Valley in Banjo-Kazooie, much to the chagrin of its owner, King Sandybutt."

Lady of Games[edit]

The Lady of Games is the wife and "female counterpart" of the Lord of Games, being mentioned by him in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. While in Showdown Town, L.O.G. states she created the first video games involving "pony-riding, lovely kittens, and ninjas being blown up with rocket launchers."

L.O.G. also mentions in promotional material that "she has her own preferences when it comes to genre and declined to be involved in [his] latest project."[1] In an update on Rare Ltd.'s website in 2009, L.O.G. states that, while he was devising L.O.G.'s Lost Challenges "during a spare moment in exile from the Palace lounge," the Lady of Games was watching "some kind of dreadful house renovation show marathon."[2]

Lardo[edit]

Lardo, formerly known as Lardy, is the owner of "Lardo's Pizza" (referred to as "Lardy's Pizza" in Banjo-Tooie). As his only mention is in the establishment's name, not much is known about him. In Banjo-Tooie, boxes from Lardy's Pizza can be seen during Bottles' party and in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, the restaurant Lardo's Pizza can be found in Showdown Town. Lardo's name is derived from the word "lard."

Mario[edit]

Mario is the main character of the Super Mario franchise who was mentioned in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. After L.O.G. calls Banjo and Kazooie failures, Kazooie responds with how they can’t be failures as they've been in many games by that point. L.O.G. then responds by saying they haven't been anywhere near the amount of games that "Italian gentleman" has been in, implying Mario.

Mrs. Klungo[edit]

Mrs. Klungo is a character mentioned by Klungo in Banjo-Tooie. After being beaten for the third time, he states that each defeat is making him "lesss and lesss handsssome," and "now Mrsss. Klungo won't want [him] anymore." It is unclear whether or not she actually exists.

Red Jinjo's mother[edit]

The Red Jinjo's mother is a character mentioned by her child in the Jinjo Race challenge of LOGBOX 720 Act 6. When his race is lost, he states he really is "wicked cool," and thought his "mum was just exaggerating to make [him] feel better." When he is beaten, however, the Red Jinjo says that his mother said he "was really good," then starts to think that this means he "probably can't beat T.T. at kickboxing either."

St. Dungball[edit]

St. Dungball was the founder of the witch school Gruntilda attended, according to one of its names provided by Brentilda in Banjo-Kazooie.

Terry's ex-wife[edit]

“I hear Terry's wife left him recently, so his little 'uns are all he has left. He's very protective of them...”

Terry's ex-wife is a character mentioned by the zombified King Jingaling in Banjo-Tooie, alongside the instruction manual. According to him, she recently left Terry for unknown reasons, leaving him alone with their children.

Tiptup's daughters[edit]

“It had better be! I already have 19 girls!”

Tiptup's daughters are characters mentioned by Tiptup in Banjo-Tooie. Before Tiptup Jr. hatches, he states that he hope his son is a boy as he already has 19 daughters.
