This list of implied entertainment is a list of games, television shows, and books that have been mentioned at least once throughout the Banjo-Kazooie series, but have not physically appeared in any form of media as of yet.

Banjo-Kazooie Bash Buddies[edit]

Banjo-Kazooie Bash Buddies is a video game found inside L.O.G.'s Video Game Factory in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts during the game's ending. Based off on its title, the game appears to be a reference to the Super Smash Bros. games.

Battlecar Impractical[edit]

Battlecar Impractical is a fictional sci-fi television series mentioned by Pikelet during the "To Boldly Go... Anywhere" challenge of the Terrarium of Terror's fourth Act in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. It is one of the reruns he was "up late checkin' out."

It appears to be a parody of Battlestar Galactica, an American science fiction television series created by Glen A. Larson that began the Battlestar Galactica franchise.

Battletoads 2010[edit]

Battletoads 2010 is a Battletoads video game found inside L.O.G.'s Video Game Factory in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts during the game's ending.

Bear Babes[edit]

“Lovely fish, that. Why not stay a while? I've just got the new Bear Babes DVD — should be hot stuff...”

Bear Babes is a series of DVDs mentioned by Boggy in Banjo-Tooie. Before recieving the Dindin, he states that if, he sets his satellite to 11.671, it should be time for "Bear Babes 'n' Bigfoot." Once the Dindin is delivered and a Jiggy has already been obtained from him in his igloo, Boggy asks Banjo if he doesn't want to stay and watch with him the "new Bear Babes DVD" he got, as it "should be hot stuff."

Cake Filler Instinct[edit]

Cake Filler Instinct is a Killer Instinct video game found inside L.O.G.'s Video Game Factory in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts during the game's ending. It appears to be focused on cakes and cooking, and features Humba Wumba.

Flake's Eleven[edit]

Flake's Eleven is a fictional sci-fi television series mentioned by Pikelet during the "To Boldly Go... Anywhere" challenge of the Terrarium of Terror's fourth Act in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. It is one of the reruns he was "up late checkin' out."

It appears to be a parody of Blake's 7, a British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC. The title may also reference the movie Ocean's Eleven.

Grabbed by the Ghoulies II[edit]

Grabbed by the Ghoulies II is a sequel to Grabbed by the Ghoulies mentioned in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. While in Showdown Town, the Lord of Games says in one of his lines of dialogue that many new entries for Rare series are "in the pipeline," including Killer Instinct 3, new Battletoads and Jet Force Gemini games, and "even Ghoulies II," but he then says that mentioning this title just ruined his "own humorous jape," as Banjo would "never believe that."

Additionally, the billboard advertising Snacker's Loans has a line that reads "Buy Ghoulies 2." Boxes of Grabbed by the Ghoulies II are later seen inside L.O.G.'s Video Game Factory during the game's ending.

Gruntilda's favorite magazine[edit]

Fat Hag Monthly, Big Butts and Guts or Warty Girls Weekly (depending on the save file) is a magazine mentioned by Brentilda in Banjo-Kazooie. She states it is the magazine Gruntilda reads when she is relaxing.

Later, Brentilda states that Gruntilda often boasts about appearing in the cover of Fat Hag Monthly, posing in her long-johns, sitting on her broomstick or polishing her crystal ball (also depending on the save file).

Huck Codgers[edit]

Huck Codgers is a fictional sci-fi television series mentioned by Pikelet during the "To Boldly Go... Anywhere" challenge of the Terrarium of Terror's fourth Act. It is one of the reruns he was "up late checkin' out."

It appears to be a parody of Buck Rogers, a science fiction (and later, particularly space opera) character created by Phillip Francis Nowlan in the novella Armageddon 2419 A.D., subsequently appearing in multiple media.

Idiot's Guide to Alien Plants[edit]

The Idiot's Guide to Alien Plants is a book mentioned by Boggy during the "Great Balls of Gas" challenge from Act 2 of the Terrarium of Terror in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. After Gruntilda drops a fungus ball inside the terrarium, Boggy states that, according to the Idiot's Guide to Alien Plants, carrying it up high enough will cause it to implode.

Killer Instinct 3[edit]

Killer Instinct 3 is a Killer Instinct video game mentioned several times thoughout Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. In Showdown Town, when asked about what he knows of the game, Bottles states that he heard he will appear in it, and is considering buying a bandana in case the rumors are true.

Boxes of the game can also be found inside Jolly Dodger's briefcase in Showdown Town.

Spiral Mountain F.M.[edit]

Spiral Mountain F.M. is the local radio station of Spiral Mountain, being where Jamjars DJs at. It is mentioned by him at the introduction sequence of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, where he tells Banjo and Kazooie that it has been 10 years since they were both invented and says that they're "all fat and washed up" now.

Star Spanners[edit]

Star Spanners is a television series mentioned by Pikelet during the "Germ Warfare" challenge from Act 2 of the Terrarium of Terror in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. Once all of the Jiggy game's rewards have been earned, he compares Banjo and Kazooie's performance to Captain Foobar in the 23rd episode of the series where he "vaporized the Dangleberry Drones."

It appears to be a parody of Star Trek, an American science-fiction television series created by Gene Roddenberry.

The Daily Log[edit]

The Daily Log is the newspaper of Showdown Town, being mentioned by various signs in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. It is also later the topic of a quiz question near the end of the game in Spiral Mountain.

  • In the official Banjo-Kazooie forums created by Rare, the section where news would be shown was named after The Daily Log.[1]

The Phantom Meanies[edit]

The Phantom Meanies is a fictional sci-fi movie mentioned by Banjo during the "To Boldly Go... Anywhere" challenge of the Terrarium of Terror's fourth Act in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. According to him, it is Kazooie's favorite film, although she doesn't like telling that to others.

It appears to be a parody of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, a 1999 American epic space-opera film written and directed by George Lucas.

The Salty Seamen Shanty[edit]

“I'm afraid our jukebox is broken at the moment. A real pity. I just love dancing to 'The Salty Seamen Shanty.' Perhaps you'll find a way to fix it...”

The Salty Seamen Shanty is a song mentioned by Jolly Roger in Banjo-Tooie. When commenting that the inn's jukebox is broken, he states it is "a real pity" as he loves dancing to The Salty Seamen Shanty.

Viva Piñata Kart[edit]

Viva Piñata Kart is a Viva Piñata video game found inside L.O.G.'s Video Game Factory in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts during the game's ending. It appears to be a kart racing title, similarly to the Mario Kart games.

Women in Game' conference[edit]

The Women in Game' conference is an event mentioned on the "Bear Bird" magazine seen in the An Eiffel of Banjo promotional video. It states that Kazooie is said to host the Spiral Mountain chapter's Women in Game' conference.
