Gruntydactyls are flying enemies found all over Spiral Mountain and the Isle o' Hags.
Along with Uggers, they were sent out into Spiral Mountain by Gruntilda and her sisters Mingella and Blobbelda to destroy the area and to stop Banjo and Kazooie from following. Also like Uggers, they appear throughout the Isle O' Hags hub world. They appear to be flying reptiles that patrol the areas in the sky and shortly above the ground. They are a mottled brown, which can blend in somewhat in certain areas. At Cliff Top, there is a lonely Gruntydactyl under the cliff, visible primarily in the establishing shot. Behaviorally, they act similar to Buzzbomb and Scabby from Banjo-Kazooie.
