Bottles is a shortsighted mole who teaches Banjo and Kazooie abilities throughout Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. He will again be teaching them moves in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, and will also be the tour guide for the hub world, Showdown Town. He also appeared in Banjo-Pilot as a playable character.
He was Tooty the Bear's closest friend in Banjo-Kazooie and the only eyewitness to her kidnapping by the wicked Gruntilda. He taught Banjo and Kazooie various moves throughout the game, and even aided them in the final battle.
In Banjo-Tooie, though, he was the ill-fated victim of the resurrected Grunty's spell, and was instantly killed. His brother Jamjars took over the job of teaching the duo new moves, while his family remained unaware of his demise. He was revived at the very end by Banjo and Kazooie.
In Nuts & Bolts, it's said that his family has left him due to the trauma of his resurrection, so he's become a tour guide in Showdown Town.
