Of all the secrets and mysteries in the Banjo-Kazooie series, none are more tantalizing or more talked about than Stop 'n' Swop. More rumors have circulated about it than about the large doors at the top of Gruntilda's Lair, and although most of them - both the silly and the sensible - are false, there are some truths in the clutter. The mystery involves six brightly colored "Mystery Eggs" and a large key made of ice found in Banjo-Kazooie, and their alleged use in its sequel, Banjo-Tooie. It has also been revealed by the Rare team at E3 08 that the version of Banjo-Kazooie being release on the Xbox live arcade will implement the Stop 'n' Swop feature as it was originally intended, however it will be used in correspondence to Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts Template:Spoiler

Banjo-Kazooie

At the end of Banjo-Kazooie, if all 100 Jiggies have been collected, Mumbo Jumbo will show the player three animated photographs which reveal the locations of two Mystery Eggs and the Ice Key as being in places which the player can see in Banjo-Kazooie, but not access by normal means. Fortunately, there are codes within the game which can be entered on the Sandcastle floor in Treasure Trove Cove that will allow anyone to reach these treasures, as well as the other four eggs not mentioned by Mumbo Once the items are collected, they are placed into the STOP 'N' SWOP inventory which can be seen in in View Totals just after the totals for Click Clock Wood.

A note: once the codes have been entered and the items collected, they will appear on every game file on the cartridge and cannot be removed, even if all files are erased. Another interesting note is that in the Xbox Live Arcade version of Banjo-Kazooie, once someone buys Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, all the doors to the secrets are automatically opened.

Cyan Egg

Enter the code "CHEAT DONT YOU GO AND TELL HER ABOUT THE SECRET IN HER CELLAR" in the Sandcastle to unblock the closed wine barrel in the wine cellar of Mad Monster Mansion.

Pink Egg

Enter "CHEAT OUT OF THE SEA IT RISES TO REVEAL MORE SECRET PRIZES" to raise Sharkfood Island and reveal the doorway to the inside. Enter it and climb to the top of the tower using the Feathery Flap.

Blue Egg

"CHEAT A DESERT DOOR OPENS WIDE ANCIENT SECRETS WAIT INSIDE" opens the tomb door in Gobi's Valley which Gobi sits by before leaving the desert. Ride a carpet over to the ledge and enter the tomb, then hit the switch in front of the sarcophagus to obtain the egg.

Green Egg

Enter the code "CHEAT AMIDST THE HAUNTED GLOOM A SECRET IN THE BATHROOM" to uncover the egg in Mad Monster Mansion's bathroom.

Red Egg

Enter "CHEAT THIS SECRET YOULL BE GRABBIN IN THE CAPTAINS CABIN" to make the Red Mystery Egg appear in the captain's quarters in Rusty Bucket Bay. Break the window in one of the portholes to get into the room.

Yellow Egg

Use "CHEAT NOW BANJO WILL BE ABLE TO SEE IT ON NABNUTS TABLE" and the Yellow Mystery Egg will appear in Nabnut's house in Click Clock Wood.

Ice Key

"CHEAT NOW YOU CAN SEE A NICE ICE KEY WHICH YOU CAN HAVE FOR FREE" will remove the unbreakable ice wall in Wozza's cave, allowing you to get the Ice Key.
