Not to be confused with Steve Mayles.

Steve Malpass is a British video game designer and voice actor who was employed by Rare Ltd. from 1997 to 2009. He is well known for his role as the voice of Fox McCloud in Star Fox Adventures, Super Smash Bros. Melee and, consequently, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (which reused voice clips), but also worked on many other Rare Ltd. games such as Perfect Dark where he voiced Jonathan Dark, Elvis and Grimshaw, Donkey Kong 64 where he voiced Funky Kong and Grabbed by the Ghoulies where he voiced multiple major characters including the protagonist Cooper. Besides Rare Ltd., he also worked at Lionhead Studios and Wales Interactive, but currently works at Electric Square.

Malpass was also involved in the Banjo-Kazooie series, working as a quality analyst in Banjo-Kazooie and as a designer and voice actor in both Banjo-Tooie (voicing Jolly Roger, Merry Maggie Malpass, Mingella and Blobbelda) and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (voicing Trophy Thomas, Jolly Dodger and the pig supporting cast members).
