Piranhas are enemies featured in the murky swamp of Bubblegloop Swamp and its hub in Banjo-Kazooie. The Piranhas bite Banjo for every few seconds he walks in the swamp. When he is first bitten, some dialogue from a Piranha appears on-screen, telling Banjo to keep his "smelly feet" out of the water.
Banjo and Kazooie cannot defeat the Piranhas, but can avoid them if Kazooie either uses the Wading Boots or her Wonderwing ability. The Piranhas also do not bite Banjo if he is currently using his Crocodile transformation. Aside from their speech icon, Piranhas never appear on-screen.
