Tooty

Tooty is Banjo's adorable younger sister. She has blonde hair tied up in pigtails. Her favorite instrument is the flute. So far, she has only appeared in Banjo-Kazooie but she made a cameo in Banjo-Tooie on a milk carton. She was hinted to appear in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, along with Brentilda, Topper, Bawl, Quarrie, and/or Colliwobble, but this was a fabrication.

In Banjo-Kazooie, she was the target of Gruntilda, who kidnapped her due to envy of her beauty. Banjo and Kazooie set out to rescue her before Grunty was able to steal her beauty. If they get a game over, Gruntilda will steal her beauty and Tooty will become a monster. She was rescued once Banjo and Kazooie won Grunty's Furnace Fun minigame.

Beta

Tooty was originally going to be named Piccolo and was meant to be Banjo's girlfriend. In the final battle with Grunty, Grunty fires a spell at Banjo as she falls off the lair, and misses. In the beta, that spell was meant to hit Banjo, and he would be turned into a frog. Most likely, Tooty would have to carry Banjo to Mumbo to change him back. There is also a picture of her in Banjo's house. In a beta version of the game, this picture contained Donkey Kong instead.1

Trivia

• The only cameo that Tooty has in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is a sign in Showdown Town that reads "Tooty Fruity Fruit Shop", a picture in Banjo's house, and on the menu screen, and mentioned some times, such as L.O.G mentioning he discarded a game world called "Tooty Pie Shop", and on the score board in the Jiggoseum. She was also seen in the minigame: Hero Klungo Sssavesss Teh World. She was in the background, being held prisoner by Gruntilda and was in the trivia questions at the end of the game.
• Her voice actress Tara Neil is an Australian teenager who is 13 years old. Neil's 12-year-old counterpart is named Alisa Koverick. Koverick's voice role is Eva Zimmer on Zimmer Twins Rocopicks. Neil then took Koverick's mike to sound alot like Eva's Australian voice to make it sound like Tooty's speaking voice. And Koverick took Neil's mike to sound alot like Tooty talking in the background to make it sound like Eva's voice over. And she is the only one that is willing to voice over an Australian accent behind Tooty speaking. So Koverick's mike is part of "The Koverick Microphone Company." And Neil's mike is part of "The Neil Microphone Company." Alisa Koverick and Tara Neil are both Australian girls that voice over different characters.
