A Ripper is a type of enemy in the Banjo-Kazooie franchise. They are gray mobile tombstones with bulbous eyes. Their names are likely derived from the phrase "R.I.P." (short for "rest in peace"), although thier name may also be to the serial killer Jack the Ripper.
They are known for being resistant to many forms of attacks and thus their difficulty to defeat.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
Simplitic, rudimentary replicas of Rippers appear as decortions in Banjoland. Several appear on display in a makeshift graveyard in front to Mad Monster exhibit.
They are bolted down to the ground, however Kazooie can take control of thier arms by using Mumbo's Wrench and spin them around.
