World(s) | Jolly Roger's Lagoon Showdown Town LOGBOX 720 Terrarium of Terror |
Jolly Roger is the mayor of Jolly Roger's Lagoon and the owner of the tavern in Banjo-Tooie. He displays several homosexual tendencies, but this may be coincidental. He's depressed due to the fact that his partner, Merry Maggie, has disappeared. Jolly does allow Banjo to rent a room for 2 Doubloons, although Kazooie may choose to blow up the door instead of pay. When the duo return with her, Jolly rewards them with a Jiggy.
In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Jolly is known as Jolly Dodger and sells Banjo and Kazooie Jiggies in secret. He also appears in the game worlds as a challenge host.
Showdown Town
Jolly appears along the seaside in various locations, like under Klungo's pier, behind a tree near the lighthouse and at the end of a dock near a hill. He offers to sell you Jiggies for various prices. The name of the items are different but they all put Jiggies in Jolly's personal Jig-O-Vend. It is located behind King Jingaling's Jinjo Bingo Palace.
LOGBOX 720
Jolly appears as a celebrity coding expert in this world. He wears a black trenchcoat, sunglasses and a pink spiky-haired wig. In Act 2 he wants you to defend the chips from the Gruntbots. Later in Act 6 he asks you to zap alll of the bugs in the console. Jolly is still himself in this world, but speaks of himself as if he were a celebrity and is dismayed when there is something he cannot accomplish.
Terrarium of Terror
Jolly acts a subservient robot in this world. He wears a yellow trenchcoat, a tall white wig and a silver robot mask. he appears in Act 2 to ask you to taxi him and the space crew to various locations. In Act 3 he needs the bear and bird to deliver tea and biscuits to the other characters. Jolly acts a lot like a robot in this level and always tries to serve his masters or, apparently, get punished.
