Tickers are overgrown termite baddies found mainly on Mumbo's Mountain. They inhabit a gigantic termite mound known as Ticker's Tower which is just downhill of the village where Mumbo Jumbo's skull hut is and can easily be seen from any point in the world. Banjo can enter the mound, but the slopes leading to the upper levels are far too steep for even the Talon Trot to tackle, so Mumbo's help is needed to transform Banjo himself into a termite, allowing him to climb the slippery slopes. While Tickers wear no clothing themselves, they have an eye for Termite Banjo's shorts and backpack, and will attempt to bully him out of them when he passes by.
In addition to Mumbo's Mountain, one Ticker can be found just outside the world entrance in Gruntilda's Lair, and there are three seemingly out-of-place Tickers inside the large Christmas tree in Freezeezy Peak.
