Grille Chompa is an enemy found in Clanker's Cavern, Mad Monster Mansion (Inside Loggo), Rusty Bucket Bay and several places around Gruntilda's Lair in Banjo-Kazooie. This bizarre fish- or slug-like enemy hides within broken grates on walls in damp areas. If Banjo gets too close, the Chompa will growl and lunge from its hole, biting at the air a few times before retreating back; it will continue to do this until Banjo moves away. Although Grille Chompas look tough, they have extremely low vitality and can be killed with a single well-timed attack whenever thier bodies are exposed. These prove themself to be very irritating as they are mostly on high up walks, pushing Banjo off the edge. They are very similar to the Big Clucker because they too hide in holes and attack only when Banjo comes near them.
