Flight can be described as the state in which Kazooie is moving through the air without the limitation of gravity. Flying is extremely useful: as long as there is a Flight Pad from which to take off, Kazooie (and Banjo if he's attached to her) can reach any visible platform pretty quickly, as well as cross a world just as fast.

Flying may take some practice. Once in the air, the Template:ControlStick is used to steer left and right, as well as dive (by pressing down) and slow down to land (by pressing up). Pressing Template:A gains altitude at the cost of a Red Feather; Kazooie can still fly without Red Feathers, but will be unable to gain altitude. Pressing Template:B fires the Beak Bomb (a missle-like attack that also uses a Red Feather) while pressing Template:Z uses the Beak Buster (as could be expected). Holding Template:R allows sharper turning.

In Banjo-Tooie, Kazooie learns how to shoot eggs while in flight with Template:C-up and Template:Z. Other than this small change, flying remains virtually identical and every bit as useful as in Banjo-Kazooie.
