Recently, Rare released an official statement confirming that the game will be available for download in April of 2009. In the same statement, Rare called the port a "note-perfect migration", indicating that the game will be relatively unchanged from the original with the addition of the long-awaited [[Stop 'n' Swop]], a feature which will be fully implemented in the game and, supposedly, offer connectivity between ''Banjo-Tooie'' and [[Banjo-Kazooie (Xbox Live Arcade)|its prequel's Xbox Live Arcade port.]]
