'''Jinxy''' is a large sphinx with the body of a cat and the face of a bird found in [[Gobi's Valley]]. Since he is largely immobile, items are placed on top of his back and feet, including [[Wading Boots]] on his tail and a [[Flight Pad]] on his back. Interestingly, he is capable of speaking, and complains of a stuffed nose when [[Banjo]] and [[Kazooie]] stand on one of the two pillars in front of him. The duo can remedy his ailment by firing [[Blue Eggs]] into his nostrils, tickling his nose and causing him to sneeze. As thanks, Jinxy will open the small door on his chest and allow them inside, where they can find some [[Musical Notes]], a [[Jinjo]], a [[Mumbo Token]], and a [[Jiggy]], as well as an angry [[Slappa]].
