The police starts to chase after the duo if they do things such as run into any policemen (assaulting), shoot the [[List of Nuts & Bolts vehicle parts|Laser]] (discharging a weapon), take [[Jiggy|Jiggies]] from the [[Jig-O-Vend]]s (smuggling), or honk the [[List of Nuts & Bolts vehicle parts|Horn]] (disturbing the peace). The cops can be escaped by going to far away locations, defeating them, or bribing Pikelet with [[Musical Note]]s. If Banjo and Kazooie go to the [[Police Station]] while being chased, the spotlights turn on while the alarm starts to ring.
