Diggit is an enemy in Glitter Gulch Mine which disguises itself as a shovel to fool intruders. Its attempts at disguise, however, are less than perfect since the world contains no actual inanimate shovels. Diggit springs to life when Banjo and Kazooie get near it and tries to spear the bear and bird with its blade.
Although this enemy is fast to attack and can be hard to notice coming over the ambient noises of the mine, a single hit from almost any attack will be enough to break it into pieces. In addition, each failed attack attempt the shovel makes causes it to get stuck in the ground for a few seconds, allowing time for a counterattack.
Trivia
Its attack patterns and appearance resemble that of Franky the Pitchfork from Conker's Bad Fur Day, another game developed by Rareware.
