Merging???[edit]

Hey Angela, I've found another 'Banjo Kazooie Wiki'. Are we able to merge. It is quite a small wiki. But a plus would be less competition of getting notability and another useful user. If it's too much trouble don't worry. Other wiki users here are supporting this. Cheers, Chicken7 >talk 13:05, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Yes, it's certainly possible. We have some tools to help merge wikis. I know of the owner of the other wiki, so I can get in touch with him and see what his plans are for it. Angela<staff /> (talk) 09:17, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Thankyou. Do you wish for me or anyone else to do anything? By the way, how did you leave this message before me? Cheers, Chicken7 >talk 07:56, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
I'll let you know if there's anything else to do. I believe the server clocks were playing up yesterday, so the timestamps on this page are wrong. Angela<staff /> (talk) 08:00, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
OK Cool. If you need to let me know anything answer on my talk page please so I'm notified. Cheers, Chicken7 >talk 08:08, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Copyright tags[edit]

I'm sure having tags for each one of the multitude of copyright statuses on images would be fantastic if we were a larger wiki which covered a lot more topics, but the B-K series only has five games, two of which are ancient, so I'm really wondering how many of those copyright tags could actually potentially apply to images used on the site. Also since just about everyone on the site is legally inept, it would be nice to narrow down the copyright statuses to just a few (or none at all...if only) to make it easier to find where the heck the images should go. Thanks a lot. Jimbo-Jambo

It probably does no harm to keep them just in case people want to use them. Some of them are used automatically when you import images from Flickr using [[Special:ImportFreeImages]] so it doesn't always matter whether you understand them since this tool will work it out. The most important thing is linking to the source of the image so that people can see where it came from. That way they can find out the copyright status of it for themselves if they need to. To be on the safe side, you could use images only from Wikimedia Commons or images imported using [[Special:ImportFreeImages]] since these should always be allowed under Wikia's copyrights policy.
