Banjo Kazooie transformations and their magnitude in the game.[edit]

I was wondering of what I could achieve without using Mumbo's Transformations. For simplicity, I was not counting the extra lives that are unobtainbale. We know that the pumpkin is obligatory, otherwise, we can't even get to Rusty Bucket Bay. So, I used only the pumpkin, but this was strictly to press the water switch. Here is what I couldn't collect.

Mumbo's Mountain : 1 Jigsaw Piece (Ticker's Tower), 6 Notes (also there) and the Witch Switch Jigsaw Piece, outside.
Bubblegloop Swamp : 2 Jiggies (Mr Vile, Jinjos (Pink)), 10 Notes (4 in the water and 6 in the crocodile statue), 3 Mumbo Tokens (2 in the water, 1 in the statue), and also I couldn't get to Cheato.
Freezeezy Peak : 4 Jiggies (Wozza, Boggy race 1, Boggy race 2, Jinjos (Orange)), 1 Extra Honeycomb Piece (Wozza).
Mad Monster Mansion : 2 Jiggies (Loggo, pipe), 5 Notes (pipe), 1 Extra Honeycomb Piece (mansion), and also I couldn't get to Cheato. Also, the 1 Mumbo token in Gruntilda's Lair, the one behind Mumbo's chair.
Click Clock Wood : 1 Jiggy (Jinjos (Pink, Spring)) and the Witch Switch Jigsaw Piece, outside.
Gruntilda's Lair : 2 Jiggies, 1 Mumbo token, 2 Cheato codes.
Totals:
Missed : -12 Jiggies, -21 Notes, -2 Extra Honeycomb Pieces, -4 Mumbo Tokens & as a side note, -2 Witch Switch Jiggies and 2 Cheato codes (Eggs, Red Feathers).
Collected : 88 Jiggies, 879 Notes, 22 Extra Honeycomb Pieces, 91 Mumbo Tokens (remember that 20 tokens were used for the pumpkin, so 111 out of the 115).
Notes : I was transformed into a crocodile during the Furnace Fun, for the challenge with Mr Vile.
Interestingly, the walrus may be the only transformation that is not required to be used outside its level, however, it is required for 4 Jiggies, more than any other transformation. All the others give 2 Jiggies each. Technically, the second Jiggy that Boggy gives you for the race, is obtained normally, but the walrus has to be used previously, in order to obtain it. Something similar could be said for the Orange Jinjo. As a sidenote, the walrus is the only transformation required to obtain a "stop 'n' swop" item: the Ice Key.
The bee is the transformation that gives you fewer things than any other transformation; only two Jiggies. However, it is the most expensive; it costs 25 Mumbo tokens.
The Gruntilda Puzzle cannot be completed, so you can't progress further than that.

In order to progress to the final battle, you have to use some of the transfornations.

So, we have 88 Jiggies and we need 6 more, in order to complete the Gruntilda puzzle, and be able to finish the game. We already have unlocked the pumpkin transformation. We can use it to get 2 more Jiggies.
For the remaining 4 Jiggies we have the following options:
1) Walrus : costs 15 Mumbo tokens.
2) Termite & Crocodile : costs 5 + 10 = 15 Mumbo tokens.
3) Termite & Bee : costs 5 + 25 = 30 Mumbo tokens.
4) Crocodile & Bee : costs 10 + 25 = 35 Mumbo tokens.
The walrus option is the quickest of them, and also we can finish the game with 77 Mumbo tokens to spare. Also 84 Jiggies (the least amount), 884 Notes (we can open the last door) and all 24 extra honeycomb pieces. And also, the Red Feathers code.
In order to complete the Honeycomb puzzle, we have to use two more transformations. The crocodile is a good option, as it will give us the Blue Eggs code, and the last 3 Mumbo tokens. The termite is a good option to follow, as it will give us the last 6 notes of the game.

Banjo Tooie section in this page.[edit]

Are you sure that this board is relevant to this page? The last two columns seem to be either unrelated, or not properly explained, f.e. the T-Rex case.

Very good point, I'll remove them and add a "Not to be confused with Spells" notice in the article. Results May Vary (talk) 23:59, November 4, 2021 (UTC)
