Talk:Flight Pad
Okay, I assume there's a general consensus on the name? Even though they're called "Flying Discs" in Treasure Trove Cove, and Bottles refers to it as a "Fly Pad" during the fight with Grunty, the B-K manual calls them "Flight Pads." If anything, this shows that the names of objects are really variable, so I think it's probably pretty safe to stick with this name is everyone else likes it. Jimbo-Jambo
- Yeah thats probably a good idea to stick with calling them flight pads but we may want to have information telling about what they are also called in the article.
- Done. I'll also make a few redirects. By the way, and this is directed at everyone, I did not have a fun time taking this picture. Besides the fact that flying it absolutely impossible with a keyboard, my own shadow would get in the way of the snapshot if I got too close, so the size is a bit limited, and I can't just zoom in because, well, I'd never be able to steer that way without a stick. If you think you can get a better image, be my guest. Jimbo-Jambo
Flight Pad Locations?[edit]
I remember a Flight Pad being in the Dining Room of Mad Monster Mansion, but where was it in Rusty Bucket Bay and Clanker's Cavern? File:Blubber icon.pngDroginator1
inside clanker, and inside the room you find the honeycomb (remember the whole in the wall in the small pool of water containing.....him....... GoldenJiggies GJ
Multiple Types of Flight Pads in Banjo Kazooie[edit]
I have realized that there are three types of flight pads in Banjo Kazooie. To observe that, you need to skip learning to fly, in Treasure Trove Cove. All of its flight Pads will remain transparent and inactive. This is the first type of a Flight Pad; the one that can only be activated by talking to Bottles in Treasure Trove Cove, on the ship. The exact same type of Flight Pad exists within Clanker's Cavern. There is only one Flight Pad there. All three Flight Pads of Freezeezy Peak are of the same type.
However, a second type of flight pad exists. When you go into Gobi's Valley, the Flight Pad on Jinxy's body is of the first type, but all three Flight Pads in the bottom of the sand pit are a second type of Flight Pad. They are active anyway, either you talk to Bottles, or not. So you can use them to actually fly. You can obtain the Beak Bomb from Freezeezy Peak and use it normally. So you can collect everything in Gobi's Valley. By using that Pad, Bottles will inform you that you may push A to gain some height, as he would in Treasure Trove Cove, the first time you would use a Flight Pad. You need to be careful though, as once the pit is filled up with water, those Flight Pads won't work anymore. That second type of Flight Pad is the only Flight Pad type that is found in Mad Monster Mansion (both of them) and in Rusty Bucket Bay (a single one). Click Clock Wood has only the first type of Flight Pads, however this affects the level to a minor degree. The second type of Flight Pads are always activated, and therefore opaque.
There is a third type of a Fight Pad, and it appears only once. It is the Fight Pad that appears temporarily when you activate a switch that is located just outside the entrance of Freezeezy Peak. That particular Flight Pad appears to be active (it is opaque), but is it not.
The Flight Pad that appears during the battle against Gruntilda can not be accessed; without flying you cannot collect enough Jigsaw Pieces to open the door that leads to Dingpot. So we don't know its type.

There is a second Flight Pad that we don't know its type. It's the Flight Pad that is located just underneath the Jigsaw Piece that is located in Gruntilda's Lair, just above the entrance of Freezeezy Peak. The small door that leads to it remains closed, until the Witch Switch of Freezeezy Peak is pressed, and that requires Flight and Beak Bomb. So its type is unknown. This is a very minor detail though.Gomess512 (talk) 05:30, October 18, 2021 (UTC)
