Washup, along with Boltoid and Nutta, is part of a trio of large machinery parts (washer, bolt, and nut) that lies scattered around Grunty Industries in Banjo-Tooie. While it appears harmless when inert, as with most objects just laying around the factory, it will spring up suddenly to attack any nearby bear and bird intruders. However, Washups are relatively weak and can be easily dispatched. They are the only enemies that don't make sounds when defeated.
Washups are an enemy in Banjo-Tooie.

Characteristics
Washups are sentient washers appearing throughout Grunty Industries, alongside Nuttas and Boltoids. They disguise themselves as regular washers and attack once Banjo and Kazooie get close, being easily defeated by attacks such as the Forward Roll. Washups, Nuttas and Boltoids are also spit by Weldar during his boss fight, similarly to the Mucoids in Terry's battle.

Weldar has the ability to spit out Washups, Boltoids, and Nuttas during the boss battle. When unleashed, these parts run straight at Banjo and Kazooie.
