This apparently was indicated in [http://www.gamesdatabase.org/Media/SYSTEM/Nintendo_N64/manual/Formated/Banjo-Kazooie_-_1998_-_Nintendo.pdf the very first game's manual] on page 6: "she and Banjo together"
Were there any in-game references to gender though? Not reading the manual might explain how so few are aware. [[User talk:Tycio|talk2ty]] 11:47, January 30, 2018 (UTC)
