Caterpillars are collectible insects that appear in [[Click Clock Wood]] during the summer and autumn seasons. In both seasons, [[Banjo]] and [[Kazooie]] must feed a certain number of them to [[Eyrie]] in [[Eyrie's Nest|his nest]] atop the [[Click Clock Wood Tree]]. During the summer and autumn, Banjo and Kazooie must feed 5 and 10 caterpillars to Eyrie respectively. During each season, a total of 8 and 13 caterpillars appear respectively, leaving an excess of three caterpillars in both seasons. In the summer, Caterpillars only appear if Banjo and Kazooie have broken Eyrie's egg during the spring, and in autumn, Caterpillars only appear if Banjo and Kazooie have fed Eyrie during the summer. In autumn, even if Eyrie was not fed, two caterpillars appear in the [[Squirrel's House]] and [[Zubba's Nest]] respectively. Once Banjo and Kazooie feed Eyrie 15 Caterpillars, he is no longer hungry, and he matures into an adult and gives Banjo and Kazooie a [[Jiggy]].
