Brentilda is a recurring character in the Banjo-Kazooie series.
Brentilda is a character in the Banjo-Kazooie series. She is Gruntilda's sister and is, rather than an evil witch, a kind fairy godmother.

Physical traits
Appearance
Brentilda has green skin and pointed ears, much like her sisters Gruntilda, Mingella, and Blobbelda. She dresses a pink oufit with sparkles, white sleeves and fairy wings. She has a white-blond hair and wears a golden diadem, thin-framed round glasses and holds a star-tipped wand.
Like Gruntilda and her two other sisters, Mingella, and Blobbelda, Brentilda is green and has pointed ears. However, rather than dressing in black and blue like her sisters, Brentilda dresses as a kindly fairy, complete with a delicate pink outfit and fairy wings. In stark contrast with her sisters' drab black robes, Brentilda wears a frilly, lacey, layered pink gown. She has her whitish-blond hair up in a bun and wears a golden diadem. She holds a sharp star-tipped wand and appears to wear very thin-framed glasses.

Personality
In terms of her body type, she has a pudgy frame, being mildly thinner than Gruntilda but nowhere near as thin as Mingella.
Brentilda is described many times as being much nicer than her sister Gruntilda, being "her opposite in every way, and a far better person for it." She appears to be very kind towards people, referring to Banjo and Kazooie as "young ones" and "dears." She is not very polite when talking about her sister, however, calling her things such as "old hag," her "fat old sister" and "wartbags," among other names.

Biography
History
Brentilda is Gruntilda's sister. Unlike her other two sisters, Blobbelda and Mingella, Brentila is a kind fairy godmother rather than an evil witch.

Brentilda can be found in various points throughout Gruntilda's Lair and, when encountered, will tell the duo facts about her sister's life which are often regarded as "disgusting," such as the flavor of her tooth paste, what was her nickname in witch school, where she sleeps among other trivia about the witch. While they may seem useless, these facts are required to be known in order to answer specific questions in Grunty's Furnace Fun, near the end of the game. The pieces of information told by Brentilda will change in every save file, each having three possible variations picked at random. If Banjo and Kazooie's health bar is low when talking to her in a new area for the first time, she will refill it completely.

Banjo-Tooie
While not physically appearing in Banjo-Tooie, a picture of Brentilda can be found in the floor of Pawno's Emporium. This portrait is similar to the one found in Mad Monster Mansion in Banjo-Kazooie, but with a more rectangular frame. Additionally, Honey B reuses Brentilda's voice clips.
Brentilda is absent from Banjo-Tooie, nor is she even mentioned by the other Winkybunions. However, a portrait of Brentilda appears on the floor in Pawno's Emporium. This portrait is similar to the one in Mad Monster Mansion in Banjo-Kazooie. The difference is that the one in Pawno's Emporium is rectangular, whereas the one in the Mansion was arched.

Nuts & Bolts
Locations
In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Brentilda is mentioned in the Lord of Games' quiz in Spiral Mountain. She is an incorrect answer for a question that asks "who was Banjo's adversary in Banjo-Tooie," with the correct answer being "Gruntilda."
In Banjo-Kazooie, Brentilda is found in the following areas of Gruntilda's Lair:

Flavor text
*Near Treasure Trove Cove 's puzzle station.
*Banjo-Kazooie manual profile: "The witch's sister is her opposite in every way, and a far better person for it. Unfortunately even Brentilda's fairy godmother powers aren't strong enough to let her confront Gruntilda directly, so she offers all the help she can to Banjo and Kazooie instead."
*On the pipes atop the entrance to Clanker's Cavern.
*Near the Click Clock Wood puzzle station.
*Behind the giant Grunty Statue.

Trivia
*Brentilda is the only one of her sisters that speaks normally, as Gruntilda speaks in rhymes and Mingella and Blobbelda speak in anastrophe.
*Brentilda's wardrobe draws heavy inspiration from Glinda the Good Witch of the North from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and its adaptions, while her sisters (specifically Gruntilda) appear to take their designs from the Wicked Witch of the West.

*Although being absent from Banjo-Tooie, she seems to have the same voice as Honey B.
References
*When Banjo and Kazooie first meet Brentilda, she mentions how her facts about Gruntilda would "save them from a fiery fate," foreshadowing Grunty's Furnace Fun.

*Though she is absent from Banjo-Tooie, a portrait of her can be found in the level Jolly Roger's Lagoon in Pawno's Emporium. It is turned on its side, leaning against the wall behind a B-K box.
*Brentilda is the only one of the Winkybunion sisters to speak normally (Gruntilda speaks in rhyme, while Mingella and Blobbelda speak in anastrophe just like Yoda from the Star Wars franchise).
