Bawl
Bawl is an idiot of an garlic bulb who is one of four training enemies found on Spiral Mountain in Banjo-Kazooie. His main purpose is to aid Bottles in teaching Banjo the Forward Roll ability. He is short, brown and white, and has a green stem on his head.

Bawl, in addition to Topper, Colliwobble and Quarrie (the other tutorial enemies), were arrested by the "rubbish video game character police" according to Rare, along with Brentilda, and Tooty. However, he (or at least a robotic version of him) reappears in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.
Banjo Kazooie
Bawl appears in Banjo-Kazooie to aid Bottles in training Banjo. Bawl can only be defeated at first by doing Forward Roll , later on Bawl can be defeated by any move after being taught the Forward Roll.

Bawl appears in Nuts and Bolts at Spiral Mountain.

- Bawl's name may be a reference to the fact that cutting onions often causes crying.
- At first, Banjo is unable to defeat Bawl without the Forward Roll, but after Bottles teaches you the basics, he can be defeated with any attack.
