Edson vs Edison
Hi all, please note that the protagonist's name is 'Edson', not "Edison". It has been confirmed numerous times on Twitter and in interviews by the original developers, and even the decription written by Rare on the Rare Revealed video for Dream (Rare Revealed: A Rare Look at Dream) notes "...the adventure of boy hero Edson and his dog Dinger" (the devs in the video even say "Edson"). Please do not revert the name to "Edison" because this is 100% incorrect -- just because you may have not heard the name "Edson" before and are only familiar with Thomas Edison does not somehow mean that the character in this video game was named "Edison". We need to keep this page factual. RdCrestdBreegull (talk) 02:32, July 29, 2019 (UTC)

Removed false information about a remake coming in 2013. Rare is owned by Microsoft and only produce Xbox exclusives.
:: The ONLY official reference to it being "Edison" is a single caption on the Dreaming of Banjo video on Rare Replay at approximately 40 seconds in — This caption is clearly a typo since the person talking (Ed Bryan) is clearly saying "Edson" and has referred to the character outside of this video as 'Edson' numerous times. Does anyone know the source for the information about Ella/the baby bird? I can't seem to find where those details came from… it'd be nice to add a citation for those characters if possible! The "Leela Burns" bit seems kinda apocryphal… I can't seem to find any other references to it online. Banjo-Fella (talk) 01:14, June 24, 2019 (UTC)

The ONLY official reference to it being "Edison" is a single caption on the Dreaming of Banjo video on Rare Replay at approximately 40 seconds in — This caption is clearly a typo since the person talking (Ed Bryan) is clearly saying "Edson" and has referred to the character outside of this video as 'Edson' numerous times. Can admins rename files? I mistakenly gave all the images I added to the article filenames like "*_edison_*.png" and it'd be nice to fix the error there too. I could reupload all of them with corrected filenames and flag the old files for deletion I suppose, but it'd be a bit of a messy ordeal. Banjo-Fella (talk) 14:57, August 7, 2019 (UTC)
