-Tested. You can in fact have more than nine lives, but nine is the maximum that can be displayed. If you collect ten lives and die once, you will have nine left. -:From seeing hack videos, it looks like the max numbers of eggs and feathers are "computer values" like 127 and 255. Lives is probably something similar.
