The main trait of Yum-yums is how they continuously clamp their jaws while moving around. [[Banjo]] and [[Kazooie]] must avoid being bitten by Yum-yums, otherwise they lose a [[Honeycomb]], and even a [[Red Feather]] and a [[Blue Egg]]. Yum-yums also eat dropped items, which Banjo and Kazooie can quickly recollect before a Yum-yum reaches them. In ''Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge'', Yum-yums also eat [[Golden Feather]]s.
