==Characteristics==
They usually camouflage themselves near other harmless lumps of seaweed, making it difficult to determine whether a given lump of seaweed is really a Whirlweed or not. However, shooting it with [[eggs]] is usually an easy way to determine whether or not it is a Whirlweed; if the plant takes damage, then it is a Whirlweed, and if it does not, then it is a regular lump of seaweed. They can be defeated with most attacks with relative ease.
Whirlweeds are located within [[Atlantis]]' [[Seaweed Sanctum]]. They disguise themselves as a lump of seaweed and try to attack [[Banjo]] and [[Kazooie]] if they approach them. Whirlweeds are usually disguised near regular seaweed, making them hard to differentiate. Whirlwinds attack by spinning around in circles while attempting to hit Banjo. They can be easily defeated from most attacks, including [[Egg Firing]], which can also be used from a distance to differentiate Whirlweeds from normal seaweed.
